Couple arrested after meth lab found at residence
DONALDSONVILLE - Deputies in Ascension Parish arrested two people this week after finding a meth lab on property they'd been evicted from.
Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said deputies arrested Cole Gonzales and Leslea Hurst on Tuesday after the pair fled from deputies and were stopped after a short vehicle pursuit.
Bacala said deputies found Xanax pills on Hurst when they arrested him and later discovered a meth lab in the residence they'd been evicted from. They also found a "sparkler bomb" in the home, and charged Hurst and Gonzales with possession or manufacturing of a bomb.
They were both booked into the parish prison.
