PORT ALLEN - City council members voted tonight not to pay former Port Allen mayor Derek Lewis for back vacation time he claims he never took.
The vote at tonight's council meeting was 3 to 2 not to pay Lewis around $19,000 he said he was owed for the unspent vacation time.
Lewis resigned from the position in May, shortly before pleading guilty to racketeering charges in a federal corruption investigation called "Operation: Blighted Officials". He was not at the meeting.
News 2's Kristy Davis will have more on the decision coming up at 10 p.m.
