BAKER, La. - The City Council is upset that residents are getting bad attitudes tossed at them by city employees.
The Advocate reports that council members Robert Young, John Givens and Charles Vincent raised concerns that constituents are being poorly treated by city employees. Often, they said, residents run into bad attitudes when trying to pay utility bills.
At the council's meeting earlier this week, Councilwoman Joyce Burges and Vincent said kindness and a businesslike attitude should be the norm for city employees in their dealings with citizens.
The council and Mayor Harold Rideau agreed to schedule a workshop for city employees and council members in an effort to remedy the problem.
