One name that continues to surface surrounding a massive corruption investigation by the feds is William Myles and the company, The Myles Group, LLC.
Myles' name is listed on appointment sheets with Port Allen Mayor Derek Lewis. News 2 has confirmed Denham Springs Mayor Jimmy Durbin was contacted by Myles about the Cifer 5000 but turned it down.
Myles has ties to Louisiana and Connecticut. News 2 showed up at his listed address at a luxury condominium complex off St. Charles Avenue. Security would not allow the crew to knock on his door but confirmed Myles lived there.
At this time, it is unclear whether Myles is a target of the investigation or whether he was part of a sting to lure mayors into corrupt acts.
The Feds indicted White Castle Police Chief Mario Brown, White Castle Mayor Maurice Brown and New Roads Mayor Tommy Nelson. The federal indictments say the men used their public positions to benefit a private company in exchange for bribes.
Calls to Myles' residence were not returned. The FBI and US Attorneys Office also declined to comment.
