DENHAM SPRINGS - Authorities are searching for thieves that took more than $100,000 worth of copper from the new Live Oak High School earlier this week.
Project Superintendent Bruce Bacon says during the 22-month project the site has been burglarized several times.
"You try to open up a school for the kids and all the sudden you get knocked back," Bacon said. "But this one we're getting close to the end, so this one really hurt."
He tells News 2 right now he's not sure if this latest incident will delay the projected June completion date.
