NAPOLEONVILLE - A thief who didn't get enough copper the first time he hit a house in Napoleonville, was caught on camera stealing again one week later.
Detectives installed surveillance equipment after a resident reported a theft of several rolls of copper wire and welding leads earlier this month.
Last week, the thief went back for seconds and was caught on tape.
Russell Jupiter, 42, of Napoleonville was brought in for questioning, and Assumption Parish Sheriff's deputies say he admitted to two burglaries and told them he sold the stolen copper to a scrap yard in Houma.
Jupiter was arrested and charged with two counts of simple burglary. He is still incarcerated at the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
