BATON ROUGE - Chef Scott Varnedoe is cooking for a cause today on News 2 at 4.

The executive chef at Restaurant IPO Downtown BR entered one of their dishes into "Taste America" through the James Beard Foundation.

If you take a photo of one of Varnedoe's dishes and put it on Instagram with the hashtags #JBFTasteamerica and #BatonRouge, the city could win a $10,000 donation to a Baton Rouge food charity.

Today Chef Scott prepared a potato and goat cheese gnocchi he entered into the competition, using only local ingredients.
