One dead in fiery Baton Rouge car crash
BATON ROUGE - Police said one person was found dead inside a car in north Baton Rouge this morning after it wrecked.
A Baton Rouge Police spokesperson said officers were sent out to the 800 block of Convention Street after the crash was reported around 5:47 a.m. today.
They found a car on fire, and after it was extinguished they found the victim's body inside.
The wreck closed a nearby off-ramp from I-110 onto Convention Street for some time this morning. It has since re-opened.
The BRPD Traffic Homicide Division is investigating the case. No information has been released about the person's identity.
