Connector street plans moving forward
BATON ROUGE- City leaders agreed Wednesday, it is time to study a new way to get from Highland Road to Burbank.
The Metro Council approved moving forward with looking at possibly connectors. Planners have already focused on Kenilworth or Seyburn Drive.
A previous WBRZ News 2 report showed that Kenilworth could be problematic because the city would need to remove a cemetery and hardware store for the street to extend over Highland and continue down to Burbank.
The Department of Public Works plans to make a decision on how to connect Highland and Burbank in the next six months.
