BATON ROUGE - Five from one family dead, a sixth also killed last week.

Last night, a church in Baton Rouge was filled with people paying tribute to them.

The standing room only crowd was filled with friends that Reverend John Gaines never even knew he had.

From elected leaders to faces he didn't recognize.

Offering up their voices, they gathered to celebrate the lives of Gaines' five family members and one family friend all of whom died in a drunk driving accident.

Many of the people in attendance have already given their money to help him pay the 50,000 it will cost to bury his family. But that wasn't the message Gaines wanted the crowd to walk away with.

"Remember it's not just a service to assist me, it's an awareness. Please, if you're going to have a drink, drink at home or have someone with you who can drive during that time," Gaines told News 2.

And amazingly Reverend Gaines says he is not angry with the driver of the car, and only hopes he finds God.

Services for the five family members will be held Friday at Living Faith Christian Center in Baton Rouge.

Also on Friday, services for the sixth victim, Angela Mosley, will take place at Galilee Baptist Church.
