Conference focuses on understanding the feelings of Alzheimer's patients
BATON ROUGE - Living with Alzherimer's Disease presents many challenges for patients, their families and caregivers. You can meet those challenges at a conference next week at Pennington Biomedical Research Center.
Dana Territo with Alzheimer's Services visited 2une In this morning with more information about the conference.
The key speaker is Naomi Feil, who is an expert in validation therapy.
"It means we're validating the Alzheimer's patients, we're recognizing their feelings and stepping into their shoes. ," Territo told News 2's John Pastorek.
Alzheimer's Services' Meeting the Challenge Conference is Wednesday, February 11th from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.at PBRC (6400 Perkins Rd.).
