Concrete spill causes serious traffic jam on Basin Bridge
WHISKEY BAY - A concrete spill on I-10 near the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge backed up eastbound traffic for more than ten miles Tuesday.
The jam lasted for almost six hours as crews worked from dusk into the late evening to clear the mess.
The spill happened near the 126 mile post on I-10 East. Authorities said a truck lost part of its cargo, blocking one lane.
All lanes were opened about 11 p.m.
