BAYOU CORNE - Preparing for a worst-case scenario is what residents are cautious of in the homes surrounding a massive sinkhole in Assumption Parish.
Residents are wondering why a remedy is taking so long and are faced with a tough reality.

A source tells News2 the road leading to a relief work-site started to dip and buckle, months ago, indicating the problem below the surface was big.
