Con with ties to federal judge will do time in Florida
PENSACOLA- A man who was seen going in and out of a federal judge's home in Baton Rouge will serve his sentence along the Gulf Coast.
Dwaine Hodges will serve with about 768 other inmates at the facility in Pensacola. He is scheduled to be released in August. Hodges surrendered to federal agents Monday.
Hodges was convicted of bribery and was caught up in the corruption involving former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.
Hodges was the focus of a News 2 Investigative report in 2013 where he was found to be working for Judge Shelly Dick. The judge said Hodges was doing construction work on her home. Some questioned the relationship, wondering if a convicted felon should be around a federal judge at all.
