BATON ROUGE – The Baton Rouge community has begun to rally in support of the fallen officers involved in Sunday's shooting on Airline Highway. From crowd funding campaigns to free food, the community is finding ways to help and show solidarity.

The Baton Rouge Area Foundation is accepting donations for providing relief to officers who were wounded on Sunday and to the families of the three officers that were killed.

Donations to the BRAF charitable fund can be made through the foundation’s website at www.BRAF.org/EBRFirstResponders.

The East Baton Rouge First Responders Fund is established to help survivors who will require assistance in recovering from their wounds and the families of those who have fallen in the line of duty. Funds are raised to cover unexpected expenses such as health care, therapy, lost wages and funeral expenses.

Cici's at 7060 Siegen Lane is offering unlimited pizza, pasta, salad, soup and dessert buffet for free to all law enforcement officers wearing their uniform or showing their badge.

The offer begins Tuesday, July 19 through next Tuesday, July 26.

In addition, Huey's Bar, Draft House, Capital City Grill, Tsunami, Mestizo, Stroube's, Juban's, Another Broken Egg, Tap Room, Brewbacher's and On the Half shell in Prairieville will donate 25 percent of their sales on July 25th to the families of slain officers. All other contributions collected on that date will be given to the families as well. The event is called  “25% on the 25th”.

The West Baton Rouge School System will be providing lunch to all law enforcement officers and staff on Tuesday, July 26 from 11:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be served at The Pupil Appraisal Services Annex on Rosedale Road in Port Allen and at Brusly High School on Vaughn St., in Brusly.

A GoFundMe campaign has also been set up for one of the officers, Montrell Jackson, killed in Sunday’s shooting. It has raised more than $78,000 as of Monday at 5 p.m.

Another GoFundMe campaign was launched for critically injured EBRSO Deputy Nick Tullier. Tullier is still in the hospital fighting for his life after he was hit by gunfire during Sunday's attack. The fund is relatively new, but it has already raised $5,000 in funds for Tullier's family.
