Committee considers gun measures at Capitol
BATON ROUGE - Several gun bills are scheduled to be discussed this morning at a Senate Judiciary committee hearing in Baton Rouge.
The measures include a proposed lifetime concealed carry permit, a bill defying any future federal ban on semi-automatic weapons, and allowing people with concealed carry permits to bring their guns into certain restaurants which serve alcohol.
The committee already approved a bill this morning which would add penalties to the state's ban releasing information about people with concealed carry permits.
News 2's Rob Krieger is at the hearing, and will have more on developments and testimony tonight.
