For the first time in franchise history, the New Orleans Hornets have two players receiving NBA all-rookie team honors in the same season.
Point guard Darren Collison has been named to the all-rookie first team.
Former LSU standout, shooting guard Marcus Thornton, received second-team honors.
It's the first time a Hornets rookie has received such and honor, since Chris Paul was named rookie of the year for the 2005-06 season.
Collison started 37 games that Paul missed because of injuries. He averaged just over 18 points, nine assists and 3 rebounds a game.
Meanwhile, Marcus Thornton averaged just over 14 points and 2 rebounds and scored 20 or
more 21 times.
