College Gameday coming to Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - ESPN announced Sunday that they will broadcast their popular college football pregame show from Baton Rouge next Saturday when LSU takes on Ole Miss.
The news came Sunday morning after the Tigers dismantled the Kentucky Wildcats 41-3.
ESPN's College Gameday airs on ESPN from 8 to 11 a.m. central time Saturday morning and will set up on the parade grounds near the LSU Student Union and Memorial Tower. The show is hosted by Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Lee Corso.
LSU and Ole Miss will square off at 6:15 on ESPN.
It is the 10th time the show will be broadcast from LSU. Currently the tigers are on a 3 game losing streak and 5-4 overall when College Gameday is in Baton Rouge. Between home, away, and neutral site games, the Tigers are 14-7 overall when the tigers play at a Gameday site.
This will be Gameday's first trip to Baton Rouge since LSU lost to Alabama on a touchdown in the final minute of the game in 2012. The Tigers got some attention recently on Gameday when Katy Perry held up a corn dog to taunt LSU fans while making her pick on who would win.
LSU is currently ranked No. 23 and No. 24 in the coaches poll and Associated Press poll respectively. Ole Miss is No. 3 in both polls.
