A potent cold front has chopped through the state of Louisiana creating 20° temperature falls in 2-3 hour spans. Baton Rouge has gone from weekend afternoons spent in the upper 70s to a struggle to return thermometers to 50° today. Fortunately, along with the warmth the front is also sweeping away rain and clouds. Today, despite a return of sun, northerly winds will hold temperatures in the 40s for most of the day. Tonight, another freeze warning is in place for Baton Rouge and points north of I-12. Clouds will also return tonight as today's cold front retreats north.
