Coast Guard helicopter medevacs man from Venice marina
NEW ORLEANS - A 55-year-old man was medevaced by a Coast Guard helicopter crew Tuesday night at a marina near Venice.
The Coast Guard Sector New Orleans said they received notification that the man was having difficulty breathing and walking at Port Eads Marina in Venice, and a Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew was dispatched to assist.
The helicopter crew arrived on the scene at 11 p.m., hoisted the patient into the helicopter and transported him to Air Station New Orleans where emergency medical personnel arrived to treat him.
Further details about the condition of the man Wednesday morning were not available.
