CNN to again host New Year's countdown in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS - CNN will again celebrate New Year's Eve in New Orleans.
The Times-Picayune reports Don Lemon and Brooke Baldwin will host a Central Time Zone countdown to the new year in the Crescent City.
Baldwin and Baton Rouge native Lemon have marked New Year's Eve from New Orleans for the past two years. Among the musical guests for the New Orleans segment of the show will be Lee Loughnane and Tris Imboden, two original members of the band Chicago.
CNN's New Year's coverage begins at 7 p.m. CT on Dec. 31 with "New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin" in New York's Time Square. They will hand off to Lemon and Baldwin from New Orleans at 11:30 p.m. CT.
