Club Palace owner speaks out about SI report
BATON ROUGE - The fallout continues after a report in Sports Illustrated cited possible NCAA violations for members of the LSU football team, including former stand-out Tyrann Mathieu.
The magazine's claim stems from the players appearing in promotional flyers and videos for The Palace club in Baton Rouge.
According to the report, the players would be in violation if they used their likeness or were compensated for their participation.
News 2's Rosa Flores spoke with Torrey Lewis, the owner of The Palace, and Xavier Williams, the club's promoter, to get their side of the story.
