Be sure to bundle up as you head to work and school today! The cold front will move toward the Louisiana Coastline today and a disturbance will move over us from the west. In the wake of the front we will continue to see the temperatures fall and more scattered showers will develop as the disturbance passes over us. The temperatures will be around 50 in the middle of the afternoon and they will fall into the 40s by the evening.
The rain will start to taper off tonight and we will have a brief lull in the precipitation. Expect cloudy skies and it will be very cold tonight with lows in the lower 30s. Baton Rouge should stay just above freezing, but from the Felicianas to South Mississippi your lows will be around 32°. At this time, it looks like we will not have any frozen precipitation falling, but some of the road could have a few icy spots.
