BATON ROUGE - State Police investigated a two-vehicle wreck in East Baton Rouge Parish that killed a Clinton woman today.

The wreck happened just after 10 a.m. on Liberty Road north of La. 64. Troopers said Nancy Pierce, 48, died at the scene.

Investigators said a pickup driven by Matthew Harding, 30, of Greenwell Springs was heading north on Liberty when it crossed the centerline and hit Pierce's car. Investigators said Harding was wearing a seat belt, but it was unknown whether Pierce was properly restrained.

Troopers took breath, blood and urine samples from Harding. They said the breath test didn't detect any alcohol in his system.

The crash is still being investigated.
