Clinton to host two festivals
CLINTON - People in East Feliciana Parish are celebrating the July Fourth with two events this year.
The Red, White and Blueberry festival will kick off at noon on Friday and at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning in downtown Clinton.
A second event called the Red, White and Blue festival will also start bright and early Friday at 8 a.m. and last until 10 p.m., then pick back up at 8 a.m. Saturday and go until 10 p.m. at the American Legion Park.
The cost to get in is $2 for adults and $1 for kids. All veterans will get in free.
"It's nice to be able just to stay here at home and you can invite families to come into your home and enjoy the activities in your community," said Karen Day, a resident of Clinton.
This will be the town's first Red, White and Blue Festival and their 9th Red, White and Blueberry Festival.
