BATON ROUGE - A store clerk is being rushed into surgery after he was shot during a robbery this afternoon in Baton Rouge.
Police were called to the Sewell and Son Grocery on Scotland Avenue around 4 p.m. after reports of shots being fired.
Sgt. Don Stone with Baton Rouge Police said an armed man came into the store and shot the clerk, then took off with cash from the register.
At this time police have no further information on the suspect. The clerk was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
