Cleco customers to expect a refund
BATON ROUGE - State utility regulators decided Cleco customers should get a refund.
The Louisiana Public Service Commission voted Wednesday for a $1.64 million refund for customers. It will be a one-time payment around $3.50 on the September bill.
The commission said the refund comes after they found overcharging through an audit by commission staff in 2014.
The state of Louisiana has 284,000 Cleco customers in 23 parishes.
