DEQ officials are still on scene of the chemical fire in Denham Springs Thursday morning.

An 18 wheeler continues to pump out water in the ditches along Eden Church Road as a precaution.

They're worried some of the water used while extinguishing the fire could have become contaminated.

Eleven homes on Eve Drive and Adam Drive, along with an apartment complex on Eden Church Road, are still evacuated.

Eden Church Road in between Eve and Adam Drive remains closed.

Firefighters, investigators and law enforcement officials remain at the scene.
