BATON ROUGE- The city is offering two days of free, in-depth film industry training for people from the area who want to land a job in the booming film industry.

To be eligible, people must be from East Baton Rouge Parish and will be selected through a "competitive application process," a city news release said.

The classes will take place March 22 - 23 at Celtic Media Center. Topics covered will include production paperwork, terminology, and protocol as well as hands-on short radio training, crew departments, and how and where to find work upon class completion.

An $80,000 grant will fund the program.

Thirty people will be selected to take the class. Interested applicants should email résumés and cover letters to workforce@novacvideo.org.
