BATON ROUGE- A committee of members of the Metro Council did not make a recommendation on a change to the Sunday alcohol sales law.

There's a change being pushed to allow sales on Sundays and let bars open.

Before a final decision by the entire council, it must be discussed at a committee meeting. Usually, a committee will render an opinion. But, that did not happen Wednesday evening.

The entire council is set to debate the issue next week.
