Ciao! Eatery hopes 'Restaurant Impossible' will turn new leaf
BATON ROUGE- Friday, the curtain was unveiled on a refreshed pizza restaurant that got the attention of reality TV producers.
"Restaurant Impossible" spent the last two days at Mama Della's NYC Pizzeria on Jefferson Highway. The restaurant was losing as much as $18,000 until it was closed Thursday as the Food Network crew took over.
Celebrity chef Robert Irvine leads the team the travels the country overhauling restaurants that are in desperate need of repair.
Irvine said the chef needed to learn how to treat customers and employees better to be successful.
