Chris Nakamoto - Reporter

Chris Nakamoto is WBRZ’s general assignment reporter. He joined the WBRZ team in June of 2007. 

A former reporter at WGNO in New Orleans, Chris first worked with WBRZ during Hurricane Katrina when the two stations teamed up to inform New Orleans residents who had evacuated to Baton Rouge.   

Chris graduated with full honors from Loyola University in New Orleans, but now lives in Baton Rouge. In 2008, the Louisiana Associated Press awarded him Best In Depth Series for his piece on the US Border Patrol.  

He enjoys traveling to Asia and Europe, running, working out and sampling Baton Rouge food.  He also speaks Spanish and is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
