Child shot in Baton Rouge, suspect on the run
BATON ROUGE- Baton Rouge Police are investigating a shooting that left a 7-year-old child recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
It happened in the 12,000 block of LaMargie Street. Investigators say the suspect approached a GMC Yukon which was occupied by two subjects and began shooting. While attempting to flee the area, the vehicle was struck multiple times through the windshield and once through the driver's door. The driver and passenger weren't hurt.
