Child drowns in Zachary subdivision pool
ZACHARY - A child found in a pool in a Zachary subdivision died at the hospital this morning, according to police.
It happened at a home in the Coppermill Subdivision on N. Turnberry Avenue when a woman who was house-sitting lost sight of the child.
Investigators said the child was found in the residence's pool and later died at an area hospital. The child was two to three years old.
It is unclear if the woman on house-sitting duty is related to the child at this time.
