BATON ROUGE – State Police said a child died in a crash on Highland Road Saturday morning.

Initial reports indicated that one person was ejected from a vehicle after a two-vehicle crash around 11 a.m. Saturday.  Video of the scene recorded by WBRZ photojournalists on the ground and above in SkyEye2 showed a pickup truck and SUV were involved.  It appeared the vehicles had hit head-on. 

Louisiana State Police confirmed that a child died, but could not confirm the child’s age.  As of this post, troopers have yet to release specifics about what happened.
