BAKER- A family learned a lesson in parenting the hard way, after Baker Police found their 2-year-old boy roaming the streets alone.
Investigators say the boy got out of the house while his mother's boyfriend, Kenneth Johnson-Dyer, 23, was supposed to be watching him, but fell asleep.
Police canvassed the neighborhood until the boy's sister identified him.
"Certainly I could see how the child could have slipped out, but an hour later us having to come wake him up to let him know that the child is out, thank God nothing happened to that baby," said Chief Mike Knaps of Baker Police.
Police charged Johnson-Dyer with child desertion, a misdemeanor.
