LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis was rumored to be a target for the same position with the Georgia Bulldogs, however one of his own players refuted that rumor today following the teams.
Linebacker Kelvin Sheppard told Sports 2 today that Chavis grabbed him to the side during practice and told Sheppard, "You knew if I was going anywhere, you'd (Sheppard) be the first person I'd tell. I'm here with you all, I love it here, I'm not going anywhere."
Chavis was seen with Coach Les Miles speaking together alone at midfield before practice for nearly five minutes. However, neither Chavis or Miles were available for questions following practice.
