NEW ORLEANS - A brief police chase ended with the arrest of three New Orleans men and the seizure of five guns.

Neighbors called police around 7 p.m. Wednesday to report gunfire and that the men shooting the guns fled into a white car with Mississippi plates.

During the subsequent police chase, someone in the car tossed a 9mm handgun and a pair of pink latex gloves out a window. Officers recovered both items.

Then four men ran from the car. A K-9 apprehended one of the men. Officers caught up with two of the others and a fourth man escaped.

Officers found a .45-caliber Uzi and a 9mm handgun on the floorboard of the car. A handgun and a Tech 9 pistol were also found in the backseat.
