BATON ROUGE- The attorney for now former LSU alumni president Charlie Roberts likened a deal he is being sued for defaulting payment on to a prostitution agreement.

In court documents filed by Mary Olive Pierson, Pierson argues the agreement at the base of Kay Heath's lawsuit, is compensation for sex, "an illegal and immoral agreement." Pierson asked that the lawsuit be dismissed.

Heath filed her lawsuit, which originally named the LSU Alumni Association, after she resigned from her job at the association when her relationship with Roberts was uncovered. Heath claims she and Roberts decided she would quit, they would stay together, and Roberts would pay her a monthly allowance. Heath sued when shew as cutoff.

Pierson has said Roberts will fight the suit and not settle. It is evident in the documents she filed Monday.

"[Heath] has alleged, based on her own characterization of the relationship, is an illegal, illicit and immoral contract... which makes it completely and absolutely null and void in Louisiana," she wrote.

Pierson does not dispute that the couple were an item, but said Roberts thought he was in a solid relationship the entire time. "Roberts believed at all times that he was in a mutual, romantic and loving relationship. He was gratuitously providing her with financial support when she was in need. Unfortunately for Dr. Roberts and based on the allegations of Ms. Heath's petition, she was obviously not in a loving relationship at all. To the contrary, she was, at all times, only in the relationship acting as a 'working girl' for 'compensation.'"

Pierson added, Heath ended the relationship and expected to be paid for life.

Heath's attorney, Jeffry Sanford, reportedly said the latest filing on behalf of Roberts is out of line.

The alumni association has been dropped from the suit.
