BATON ROUGE - Today could be Championship Sunday for the LSU Tigers baseball team.
Head coach Paul Mainieri said one week ago, "I just love the idea of a team going to bed at night and knowing that when they wake up they will be playing for a championship."
LSU has a chance to win the Baton Rouge Regional against the winner of the 2pm game's Houston/Southeastern Louisiana winner.
Mainieri has already stated the Tigers will throw their number three pitcher Kyle Bouman, who got a win last weekend in the SEC Tournament against Arkansas.
Bouman(5-2, 2.34 ERA) battled back from an ankle injury after turning it over on a ball in warmups earlier this season.
Should the Tigers lose tonight's 7pm game, they'd need to win the if-necessary game Monday at 7pm.
