Championship rings, drugs seized in Zion City arrests
BATON ROUGE - A former Pittsburgh Steeler and LSU football player told News 2 he's glad police recently recovered four stolen championship rings which belonged to him.
Justin Vincent, who currently works for LSU, said he was told today investigators had recovered his Steelers Super Bowl championship ring, 2003 LSU National Championship ring, 2003 SEC Championship ring, and 2005 Peach Bowl ring.
A Baton Rouge Police spokesperson said the rings were found during a search related to a murder investigation Wednesday on Peerless Street. Investigators also seized drugs, guns, and cash during the investigation.
Officers arrested Courtney Henderson, Rashee Scruggs and Jessie Scruggs on drug possession charges. Henderson was also charged with theft.
Vincent said a friend of his had the rings when they went missing from their home. Investigators with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said Henderson worked for a cleaning crew hired to clean the home where the rings went missing from, and admitted to detectives she'd taken them.
