Central to add 2 to council by 2018
CENTRAL - The city council approved adding two at-large seats to its elected body Tuesday.
In addition to the two, new positions, the council will be divided into five districts instead of all five being at-large. By the 2018 election cycle, the council will have five people elected from districts and two at-large members. The entire governing body will be made up of seven politicians. Currently, there are five.
The city will spend about $6,000 for a demographer to draw new district lines.
