CENTRAL - The Central Community School System is considering changes that would eliminate tenure as the key criteria when layoffs are necessary.
Superintendent Michael Faulk says it does not mean layoffs will happen any time soon.
The new policy is available for viewing on the school system's website. Faulk says the public can offer comments or questions before the school board makes a final vote.
The new policy places more emphasis on things like teacher demand, performance and effectiveness.
