Central HS apologizes for bizarre cloak incident
CENTRAL - A high school student at the city's public school was disciplined after appearing in a white cloak and making gun-like gestures during a baseball game.
The incident happened Thursday when Central played Scotlandville High. Friday, the school district confirmed there were reports of the antics filed by upset parents who thought it was offensive.
The team member, who was not identified, was recorded on video wearing the cloak and making the references with his arms.
"That is uncharacteristic of our students," Central Schools Superintendent Michael Faulk said. "It's something that we do not accept."
Central High school apologized to Scotlandville and reported the issue to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
