LIVINGSTON - A suspected burglar in Livingston Parish is now behind bars, after investigators say his cell phone gave him away.
While responding to a burglar alarm, deputies noticed a large hole in the roof of the Best Stop convenience store on Arnold Road.
Deputies say they then heard the sound of a ringing cell phone, which was on the ground of the store.
After being captured by a K-9, deputies pulled the suspect from the attic.
Deputies arrested David Bennett, of Walker. Bennett was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on burglary charges, and is being held on a $16,000 bond.
