Celebrity helping those concerned about Livingston flooding
LIVINGSTON- Many people just finished with repairs from Hurricane Issac are now facing another threat because of several days of rain, with more in the forecast.
Water crossed portions of Perrilloux Road before a much-needed break in the rain late this morning. Homeowner Sam Mack says he got about two and a half inches of water in his home after Issac.
People helped him put sandbags around his home to avoid the same problems, including actor John Schneider. The star of shows like "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman" is part of a film company working in Livingston on a two year, four film schedule.
Schneider tells News Two he has never seen hospitality like he has received in Louisiana the past four months. This is his way of returning the good will.
Near Maurepas, a group of volunteers from A&M Methodist Church in College Station, Texas, is also helping with Issac repairs. The group has been working at a home on Easterly Road for the past several days. People there hope this round of flooding is not as severe as what the area received during Issac.
