Cause of early morning house fire under investigation
BATON ROUGE- Authorities said foul play is not suspected in an early morning fire at a home on Curtis Street.
The call came in at 3:54 a.m. Tuesday morning at a residence in the 1400 block of Curtis Street.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they observed fire coming from the front of the house. Live power lines in front stopped crews from entering the house. Firefighters were able to gain access to bring the fire under control.
Authorities said the house received heavy fire and smoke damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
