NEW ORLEANS - A line of severe thunderstorms continues moving across southeast Louisiana, bringing high winds and power outages and covering some roads with water.

Union Pacific tells The Associated Press that at least one car was blown off the approach to the Huey P. Long Bridge. Television video from the scene shows at least two cars on the ground.

The National Weather Service reports trees down all across south Louisiana Monday. Thibodaux police say a tree hit a house, but residents got out safely.

Power outages around southeast Louisiana totaled more than 210,000 late Monday morning. East Baton Rouge and Jefferson parishes had the most outages.

The weather service reported a 70-mph wind gust at the New Orleans airport.

A tornado watch is in effect until 1 p.m. for south Louisiana, including New Orleans.
