BATON ROUGE - Metro Council approved Ben Miller to fill a vacant seat on the Capital Area Transit System.

Miller replaces former board president Isaiah Marshall.

The vote to fill Montrell McCaleb's seat is deferred for two weeks.  Metro Council members were deadlocked on two candidates after three attempts. The candidates were William Johnson and Paul West.

Marshall and McCaleb resigned following controversies over money this summer.

The council wants to make sure a representative from Baker is represented on the board.
