CATS buses will not run Tuesday
BATON ROUGE- Public transit will not run Tuesday, in anticipation of iced roads and unusual winter precipitation in the Baton Rouge area.
Capital Area Transit System sent a message out through social media and its website alerting riders that buses will not run on January 28. "Due to expected inclement weather and road conditions, CATS will not operate," the bus company posted.
Managers will monitor road conditions and begin service when it is safe.
Weather experts at WBRZ predict that the main part of the winter storm will hit in the morning hours, possibly between 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday. It will likely include a variety of wintry precipitation, as well as some rain, which will be heaviest in the afternoon.
